This house and place has been (and is) recently been incorporated to our operation. This area is, so far, the best area I have seen in the southern ecuador coasts. Only 30 minutes south from Manta city, 20 minutes from San Mateo (one of best left in Ecuador) and 5 minutes from many great beach breaks with power and consistency like no other area in the coast line. This house is available for rent by weeks and by night. Fully equipped and recently finished. Craftmanship on wood work around house and furniture is superb. Capacity in confort 5-8 people (best for families or close friends). The house is located on the top (450 mts altitude) of one of the San Lorenzo cape hills which turns into a tropical cloud forest. The wildlife is amazing as this is probably the only place in Ecuador coast where you are surrounded by black howler monkeys colonies that by short walks around area you can appreciate them in complete families. Birding is fantastic and you can just sit down from upper room balconies and birdwatch your heart out without getting wet or tired. The walks around house are great for any age. In short, here you will find a great place to stay (house even has an natural wood oven, bbq area, etc) away completly from civilization but close enough so you can go have dinner at Manta or get groceries etc at same time have tame wildlife and great uncrowded waves year round. |

The wildlife as you can see in this photo is fantastic. Black or mantled howler monkeys (Alouatta palliata) are all over this area on the Bamboo forests which are very predominant in this woods. A short walk from house and you can be alone with the howlers families. |

This wonderful hummingbird is very frecuent around house and area. I am still trying to locate it in the Ecuadors Birds Book. |
Another Trogon I just forgot its name. This photo was taken by my wife from the house main entrance balcony. Even her can take good shots!. That tells you a lot about how easy you can see birds. She also have some good ones of hummingbirds. |
